"Security arrangements at all levels should be up to par and police should be careful about antisocial elements," he said.
CM's Twitter handler said he has also directed administrative officials to ensure the necessary services for pilgrims visiting all Shaktipeeth during the festival beginning on March 28.
"Traffic management has also been emphasized, so devotees do not face any problem getting to the temples. In addition, guidelines have been issued to erect appropriate barricades for crowd control," the statement said.
"The CM considers that a large number of tourists, both from the country and abroad, visit Ayodhya on the occasion of Ram Navami, it is imperative to provide qualitative facilities of public convenience, while taking appropriate security measures," he added.
Adityanath also said that a team of doctors should be ready to meet any requirement.
Previously, UP Cabinet Minister Shrikant Sharma told reporters: "The security apparatus of all temples, Shaktipeeths and Devalayas will be strengthened and their overall security improved."
Sharma also said that the state government would make available to pilgrims all basic and infrastructural facilities, including the provision of drinking water, electricity, cleaning and sanitation.
